Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are vaccinations required?


> FOR CLASSES - We ask that immunizations be up-to-date according to the age of your pet and depending on the services provided.

Those that are under 16 weeks of age should be vaccinated as determined by age and the recommendations of your veterinarian.
Should include:
Distemper, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus #1 (is usually given in the first 8 weeks),
DHPP [Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus] #2 (is usually given 10 - 12 weeks),
DHPP [Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus] #3 (is usually given 14 - 16 weeks)

Those that are over 16 weeks of age should be vaccinated as determined by age and the recommendations of your veterinarian.
Should include:
initial Rabies  [ multi-year is NOT recommended ] (is usually given 12 - 16 months), and up to date with Rabies as required by law.
DHPP [Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus] may be recommended.

> FOR DAYCARE & BOARDING - We ask that your pet also be immunized against Bordatella (aka-Kennel Cough) and Canine Influenza.

Q. Do you offer any discounts?


We are pleased to offer a 10% discount to our Fire Fighters, Police, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Military Personnel.

Fire Fighters include anyone that is a paid or volunteer firefighter in the State of Oregon.
Police includes Oregon State Police, City Police, County Sheriffs and Deputies within the State of Oregon.
Emergency Medical Technicians include all E.M.S. personnel, such as EMTs and Paramedics.
Military Personnel includes Active duty, Retired, or Veteran of any branch of the Military.

Q. What if I miss a training class?


Unfortunately, for most occurances, there are no make-ups available.
However,
in on-going, or group classes, the information is summarized at the beginning of the next class.

Q. What if a training class is cancelled?


In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled, additional classes will be planned and we will inform you of when the class has been scheduled.

Q. What if I can't pick up my pet on time?


DAYCARE - If you are unable to pick-up your pet on time, we ask that you inform us as soon as possible. Provided that you will be picking up the animal during our regular business hours, we will do our best to accomodate you as needed.
However, if you had planned on a half-day, and your pet is not picked up within four hours, then you may be charged for a full day instead.

BOARDING - If you find that you are unable to pick up your pet on time, again we ask that you inform us of any delay, and that delay may result in an additional charge.

Q. When do I have to pay for services that I purchased? Before or after?


Payment for services is expected before the commencement of that service.

Q. Can you board my pet if I have to leave town suddenly?


Absolutely!   We ask that you schedule with as much notice as possible so that we can amply prepare for your arrival

Q. Can you board my pet if I have to leave town after hours due to an emergency?


Of course!   We ask that you inform us as soon as possible so that we can make preparations for your pet's arrival

Q. Other places have told me that they won't board my dog because she or he is dog-aggressive. Will you?


We will be happy with making accommodations for dog-aggressive dogs.

However, any dogs that are or show indications of being people aggressive CANNOT be accommodated.
